Barb Riley

Born in Whitefish and raised in Western Montana, I am a Native Montanan! I grew up in the small town of Eureka, north of Whitefish. I recall our community members would gather together to help each other, whether for celebration, crisis or just to help the senior citizens clean up their yards in the spring.

I believe I picked up that sense of community and service, and it's why I am so passionate about the services I provide to my clients. Helping buyers and sellers achieve their real estate dreams is at the heart of my work.

For over 30 years I have applied my accounting and finance background to business practices in the real estate industry. Representing buyers and sellers requires diverse skills and experiences, from finding the right lender or title company to finding the correct survey stakes and easement lines. My own personal experiences as a first-time home buyer, a "For Sale By Owner" seller, a business owner, investment property owner, property manager, and a small business consultant provide insights to assist my clients, my agents, and the agents with whom I work.

I am active in my community through our Northwest Montana REALTOR Association, the Columbia Falls Chamber of Commerce and as a 23+ year elected school board trustee for Columbia Falls Public Schools.

I enjoy golf, gardening, relaxing at the lake or hibernating with a good movie or book. I have a wonderful husband, two successful daughters, two grandkids and a grand-puppy to spoil!

Western Montana offers a piece of heaven for everyone. My local knowledge and passion, balanced with years of experience, sets me apart from my colleagues and allows me to provide personalized service to my clients.

Jennifer Shelley

Meet Jennifer Shelley...

There's no place like Montana, according to Jennifer. In any season, you'll be drawn into her enthusiasm for the Flathead Valley. Summer to winter, Jennifer steals time away from her busy real estate career to swim, hike, boat, snowshoe, hunt upland game birds, and compete in Sporting Clay shooting.

As a little girl growing up in rural New Jersey, she dreamed of living in the Rocky Mountains. Always the tomboy, Jennifer started her outdoor life early... dirt biking at 6, exploring in the woods, blazing trails, building forts, and learning to drive the WW2 Willys Jeep at 10 years old. When her dad returned from his trips to the Mountains, Jennifer would pore over his photos knowing it was just a matter of time until she came west.

Finding Bigfork was a predestined accident. A planned float trip on the Smith River ended up being canceled, so Jennifer and her dad came to Bigfork to visit friends. When I flew over Flathead Lake, I knew I had found my pot of gold... my OZ! Two months later, she packed up her VW Rabbit and drove cross-country to Bigfork. For many years, Jennifer worked in the software development and technology industry, but about 10 years ago, she finally acknowledged that real estate was her professional calling. Starting a real estate career in the midst of a major real estate recession is not a task that most people would take on, but that is exactly what Jennifer did! While agents and brokers were exiting the industry in mass numbers, Jennifer jumped in with both feet. It wasn't easy, sales were hard to come by, and Jennifer worked multiple jobs to support her family while getting her new career off the ground. After a few tough years, Jennifer Shelley proved that persistence pays off! By 2013, Jennifer was ranked as one of the top 5% of all agents in the Flathead Valley. By 2015, Jennifer had climbed into the Top 1% of all agents in the Flathead Valley, a position that she has maintained since! In addition, Jennifer was recently recognized by REAL TRENDS as one of the top Real Estate Agents in all of Montana! All this while raising her four children and becoming Montana Women's Sporting Clays Champion (2010, 2011 & 2016). Becoming the best takes commitment. Whether it's in sports, real estate, or life! And for someone who was pulled so strongly to the West, who found her home in the Flathead Valley and never looked back, it makes sense that she's driven to help others find their home or their special retreat in the place she loves. Jennifer is committed to helping her clients find exactly what they are looking for in a home, investment, and most importantly, a lifestyle.

"I consider it a privilege to walk these beautiful parcels of property and help clients find exactly what they are looking for.

I am committed to helping my clients realize their dreams in the Flathead Valley!"
